Understand how a headless LMS separates the learner interface from course management, weigh the operational tradeoffs, and evaluate WordPress, LearnPress, and WordNext as a practical example.
A learner reaches a new term in your course. Instead of reading its definition immediately, they see a question: What is an LMS? They pause, try an answer, then turn the card over. LearnPress flashcards make room for that small moment between receiving information and being tested on it. With the Interactive Blocks add-on for […]
A learner finishes your course, opens their certificate, and finds their name crammed into a box that does not fit. The date sits on top of the border. The font does not match anything else you publish. They still download it, because a certificate is proof of work, but it does not reflect the hours […]
You update the LearnPress Certificates add-on, open a certificate that worked last week, and something is off. The layout looks different, an element is gone, or a learner emails to say the download button does nothing. The course itself still runs, so the problem sits in the certificate layer. Most of these reports trace back […]
A class is only as good as the person running it, and most WordPress LMS setups treat “teacher” as an afterthought: a dropdown field on a course, maybe a byline, with nothing structured behind it. ClassPress takes a different approach. A teacher isn’t a label attached to a class; it’s a full record with its […]
A spreadsheet of student phone numbers, a shared Google Doc where teachers log attendance, a messenger group where a parent is asking about last Tuesday’s homework: none of these tools talk to each other, and it stops working once there’s more than one teacher, more than a few dozen students, or more than one location. […]
Picture a student halfway through your course at 11 p.m. They hit a confusing quiz question and look around for someone to ask. There’s no one online, and the comment box they post to might get a reply in three days. So they close the tab. Maybe they come back. Often, they don’t. That quiet […]
